So a pretty quiet game for him overall. But Green Bay just came out humming in the second half. They were down 16-7 at one point in that game and then just dominated from there.

There, I mean, the rest of the way, quick math, down 16-7, outscored Pittsburgh 28-9, oh, the rest of the way. And again, six of those nine points by the Steelers were in the last two minutes. So, uh, pretty one-sided, especially after halftime. We'll break it all down.

Packers' new era prevails as Love outshines Rodgers 35-25

By the way, Brian Kelly was fired. Put up a video last night saying that. Needed to be. They did it. So, uh, we'll probably talk a little bit of LSU football at some point this week. So, uh, plenty of content to come. Okay P, uh, Green Bay, I should say, 35, Pittsburgh, uh, 25.

You know, liked the Steelers in this spot tonight and initially I was like 1 to 7 about it, but you know, eventually settled for a lot of field goals. The Steelers were caught out as the Steelers' defense,
which has struggled for much of the season, oh, did it again in the second half. They were down 28-9 after halftime. After the completion, JordanLove couldn't slow down the completion.

Completion Now, he caught a heater, which he's been known to do occasionally, but guys are running for free too. It's just that this Steelers defense, man, it's not close to what they paid for. Just nowhere near. People are open. The pass rush is inconsistent. They don't tackle well. They're not physical. It just doesn't feel like the Steelers.

 It's kind of a funny misnomer, but Aaron Rodgers has actually played pretty well overall. I mean, you know, he didn't light up again tonight or anything, but he was easily the best quarterback they've had since, you know, Ben Ruth's second or third year of Lisberger, but it's also the worst defense Pittsburgh has faced since, I don't know, the Tomlin era, maybe.

 

 It's just ugly, man. And he and they're paying a lot of money to guys. Jaylen Ramsey makes 30 million. T.J. Watt makes 40 million. Highsmith is an overpaid player. They've got paid players all over the place and they can't stop the nosebleeds. I mean, they just can't stop anything. And you know, Jordan Love is just kicking their ass.

The trade deadline is just a few weeks away. So let's start with Jeremy Fowler from ESPN. And

He had a really extensive article today on the Pittsburgh Steelers and what he's hearing from his sources at the Steelers.

The building and now, Fowler, you guys need to know something about him that he has a lot of connections inside.

The Steelers building. Oh, he's someone you honestly know has a lot more inside information than ESPN's dedicated Steelers reporter Brooke Pryor.

And Fowler has some really good stuff. He got some really good insights during the Rodgers story and he detailed what he's hearing inside the Steelers building right now.

That's all Jeremy had to say about the Steelers' offense in particular up to this point. Speaking to people with the Steelers this week ahead of Thursday night's game with Cincinnati, a few themes emerge.

First, Pittsburgh's offense believes it's a run-first offense. Now, the Steelers believe their interior offensive line has come into its own, especially in recent games, to provide an extra push up the middle
that benefits Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainesville. That helps protect a 41-year-old Aaron Rogersand and plays to offensive coordinator Arthur Smith's strength as a run-rushing guru with a tough background.

Expect that identity to continue. Now, the Pittsburgh Steelers have certainly found their identity on offense, and early in the season they were still trying

to figure out what works with the kind of personnel the Steelers have. They wanted to go 12 and 13 personnel in the season, but early in the season they were playing John Smith and Pat Freimouth too much

and asking them to block and it wasn't really working. So, they started putting Spencer Anderson as another tight end there with Darnell Washington out as the tight end.

And ever since they made that switch, the Steelers offense has been one of the best in the National Football League. Before they made that switch, which was in Week 4 for the Dublin game against the Minnesota Vikings, 

 

.Well, it wasn't terrible, especially against the Jets game, which really takes away a lot here. They were 17th in EPA per play and 21st in pass completion rate.

But since they made that switch over the past several games, they're now in the top 10, which is a top five offense in the National Football League, which is really, uh oh, really

These jumbo guys look to be creating running lanes for Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell. And then Aaron Rodgers

has been playing more aggressively over the last few weeks because teams are starting to play more than one high safety coverage. Because simple people, if you're playing two deep safety coverage versus a jumbo personal look,

especially outside of the nickel personal, this Steelers team is going to be able to run the football at you all day long. Um, so I definitely think it's sustainable, guys, and I think the Pittsburgh Steelers offense, at least, you know,

will be able to keep it up as long as guys like Darnell Washington, Aaron Rodgers, D.K. Metaf, and Jaylen Warren. Those really important guys can stay healthy on this Steelers U-Hoffense, I think this offense.

Absolutely sustainable and going to be a top 10 unit as the season starts here in Pittsburgh. And yet
Here's Jeremy Fowler's take on Pittsburgh's trade deadline approach that he's going to work on in the next two weeks. And here's what might surprise Steelers fans. Here's what Fowler is hearing from Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh doesn't want to jeopardize what it has at the expense of making a great receiver trade. The combination of DK Metaf, Pat Firemouth, John Smith, and Darnell WashingtonA solid running game is working right now. Las Vegas' Jacoby Meyers is a great fit because he's adaptable.
